Your key, your seat, and what happens when

Where the key goes

Your licence key arrives by email after you buy. In Inventor, open LaminaroCFD › Settings › Licence and paste it in. Laminaro checks it with our licence server once and is ready to run.

Your seat and your PCs

A seat is one named person. You can use your seat on any of your PCs, such as a desktop in the office and a laptop at home: enter the same key on each. A colleague needs a seat of their own.

Moving to another PC

Install Laminaro on the new PC and enter your key under Settings › Licence. If you're retiring the old PC, or handing a seat to a colleague who replaces you, free the old activation in your Lemon Squeezy customer portal (the link is in your purchase email).

The solver PC

Laminaro can send runs to another PC in your office, so a workstation does the solving while you keep working in Inventor. A PC that only runs jobs for others needs no seat. Only the people who set up and read studies need one.

Working offline

Laminaro checks your licence from time to time and keeps the answer for 14 days. On a train, a plane or a plant without internet, it keeps working, meshing and solving included. The AI features need a connection.

After 14 days without a check, Laminaro switches to read-only: your studies, results and reports stay viewable; new runs wait until it can check again. Connect once and it's back.

When a subscription ends

Your seat runs to the end of the month you've paid for. After that, Laminaro opens your studies read-only: results and reports stay viewable, and new runs and the AI features need a subscription again.

Your files are yours: the parts, the run folders with their full OpenFOAM cases, the reports and the videos stay on your PC. If you subscribe again later, you pay the price of that day.

The free beta

• Laminaro 1.0 beta is free: meshing and runs need no licence key and have no limit.
• The AI features (CFD Tutor, AI Checks, written reports) need a free sign-up in Settings › Licence with your email address: free up to USD 3 of AI use, no card. One sign-up per person and PC.
• The AI sign-up is for engineers in the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland and the US.
• The full version follows in a few weeks. Your studies and results from the beta stay yours and keep opening.

Lost key

Your key is in your purchase email and in your Lemon Squeezy customer portal. If you can't find either, write to contact@laminaro.com from the email address you bought with.
